A TowBoatUS or BoatUS member’s covered services are paid 100% by BoatUS, with no paperwork at the dock. Boat towing memberships are bought through TowBoatUS.

A single non-member call typically runs $300 to $500, against about $130 a year for an Unlimited freshwater TowBoatUS membership
Non-members are welcome on the same number. Rates are posted, and the price is quoted before the boat leaves the dock.
What membership covers
Member-covered services are towing, soft ungroundings, battery jump starts and fuel delivery. On a fuel delivery a member pays only for the fuel itself.
A soft ungrounding is a boat that is upright, undamaged, surrounded by water and freeable in about fifteen minutes with one boat and one line. Anything else is salvage, and the captain says which it is before a line goes on.
Salvage is not covered by any towing membership and is normally paid by the boat owner’s insurance. H2O Boat Tow works directly with carriers and adjusters on authorization, scope and billing, and can bill most carriers directly.

Straight about what we are
H2O Boat Tow LLC serves Lake Tawakoni as a TowBoatUS operator. As of 14 September 2026, BoatUS lists no TowBoatUS port for Lake Tawakoni, so we do not call ourselves one. The boats, the captains and the coverage on this lake are ours; the membership you buy is BoatUS’s, and it is honored here.
